Lindsay Lohan is in trouble. TMZ reports that Lindsay will indeed be charged with felony grand theft for taking a $2,500 necklace from Venice, CA jewelry store.
According to the site, she could be charged as early as today. Lindsay claims that the store loaned her the necklace on January 22abd her stylist simply failed to return it in time. The necklace was later returned to police. On Saturday, her attorney , Shawn Chapman Holley, issued a statement denying that Lindsay stole the necklace. ” We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press,” Holley said. If convicted, Lindsay could face three years in prison. In addition, The Mean Girls star is still on probation for her 2007 DUI arrest, and, is due in court for a progress hearing at the end of the month.
